Why did we build the MIX Lab at Montclair State University?

To Turn entrepreneurship students into designers. To create rapid prototypes. So students can validate their startup ideas in real time by leveraging the 3D Printers in the 3D Printing lab. - Jason Frasca

Students come to the 3D Printing lab to solve problems. We have to come up with new ways to look at the world, to make changes for innovative ideas. That is what innovation is all about. - Dennis Bone

MIX stands for Making and Innovating for X. What we are teaching students is how to make and innovate the most rapid and hands on paradigm shattering manner for X. Where X is the 'unknown'. For the large scale problems we have to face today. For creativity itself. We focus on processes and we focus on true innovation. - Iain Kerr
